He Is Risen!

What a beautiful weekend to celebrate Easter!  It all started with an egg hunt at a local farm.

Evan sang 'This Little Light of Mine' with the rest of the kids from Children's Church this morning.  What delight they brought to our congregation!
It is notable that this was Daddy's first Easter with us EVER!  He got home yesterday.  We hope to get to celebrate with him again next year, too!

A few for Dad that all might enjoy

Exercising with Mom.

Evan and his art.

Nathan and his art.

We can fit into almost anything!

Dear Dad, We are going to need to share a room.

Mom: Did you drink some of your science experiment?
Me: No.
Mom: Hmmm... Your lips are all red.
Me: Well, maybe just a little.

Back to Blogging

After a year and a half hiatus, Mom is back to blogging.  You can catch up by clicking the link 'Holly Abroad' on the right of our page.  She is blogging in chronological order, so it's best to click on 2013 under the blog archive section, and then scroll down to the bottom post and work your way up.  Happy reading!

We think Uncle Joe will be proud. (Though not so much of our Mom, who forgot which state she had asked and corrected Minnesotta for Michigan.)

Evan's first soccer game

Soccer season has begun and I am embracing it at full speed.  What a beautiful day to be outside.  I played my heart out and even scored one goal.  I can't wait until our next game!

Nathan's first soccer game

Blink and you'll miss it.  Mom was lucky to get a picture of me (#5) in my soccer game today.  I played for less than 30 seconds of the game.  It appears that there may have been a miscommunication when Mom and Dad asked if I wanted to play soccer this year.  Sure, I want to play, but I thought I'd get to play on Evan's team.  I really have very little interest in playing with the rest of these guys.

And by the way, there are two different teams in the picture below.  Who thought putting a bunch of 3 year olds in the same color and telling them to get the ball from the other team was a good idea?  Who can tell them apart??

This is how I spent most of the game.  Maybe next week, though now that I've made it to the first game, Mom and Dad are not going to force me to keep going if I really don't want to.  We'll see how I feel.

Oma's Visit

We had a great visit with Oma this weekend.

We didn't miss any of the puddles on our hike to the beach.

Look at all of our crabs!  We also caught an eel.

A brass quintet from our local symphony put on a children's program.  We got to try out some of the instruments before the show.

Look!  I'm a natural!
