7th Annual Snowshoe Weekend

Our annual snowshoe weekend with Aunt Katy, Uncle Joe, and Elsa was a huge success.  We had plenty of snow and excellent weather for our winter adventures.  There was hardly a snow sport that we didn't attempt.

Ready to tackle downhill skiing.

 Our snowboarders.

Fancy snowbear-making.

Off to go sledding.

Lots of fresh snow and sunshine for snowshoeing.

This guy made his own trail most of the way.

And got a ride from Aunt Katy.

Making a tunnel for Dad.

Beautiful views!

Playing games during our pajama party.

It must be a fun trip if you need all these boots!

X-country skiing with Mom and Aunt Katy.  These kids (and the little one below) are great skiers!

All this activity wears a kid out!

Ahhhhhh Snow... Finally!

We are so thankful that our second snowfall of the year came on a Saturday and stayed until Sunday!  Our only other snowfall came overnight and was gone before half-day kindergarten got out.  (Lots of sledding at the bus stop that morning!)

Winter Hike

It looks warm and sunny, but actually it was sunny and 31 degrees out.  We only made it a couple of miles before the cold got to our bones, though it should be noted that there was very little whining or complaining.  Mom thinks her 'I-told-you-so' moment was lost on us and we'll probably have this battle again tomorrow.  She has a new idea, though, and thinks she might win the war.
