This is how we roll at our house.  I ask if I can paint myself like a rainbow, and Mom says, "Sure.  Why not?"

First Soccer Game of the Season

We could not have asked for a more beautiful day for Nathan's first soccer game of the season.

Sometimes our coach is so cool that we'd rather hang out with him than pay attention to the game that is actually taking place further down the field.  Coach Jamal James was our t-ball coach last spring, and I am so blessed to be on his team again!
Hey guys, we're on the same team!  ALL of us are on the same team!  (I am #2 in the middle.)

Weekend at Club Roberts

February is always our annual snowshoe weekend with the Ackersons.  Unfortunately, while the rest of the country has been pounded with snow, Washington's mountains are pretty bare.  We were unable to find enough snow to snowshoe on!  We spent a nice, sunny weekend at Club Roberts instead.

Waiting for the ferry to Port Townsend.

A lovely trip across the water.

Leaving Port Townsend after a nice daytrip.

Kayaking on unusually still water.

Swimming in February?!  The adults thought it was way too cold for that, but the sun was out so the kids thought it was summer.

Mom froze just watching them, but this was actually Nathan's second time in the water, and Elsa spent a long time on the water after this, too!

Sunny Saturday!

We found a fun beach in Seattle to play on this beautiful Pacific Northwest day.

Then we rode our bikes to the Ballard Locks.  We saw several boats go through the locks.  The most fun were this Argossy ship and a tugboat that was so large it had to go through the big locks.

Then we rode back to the beach to play until dark!

An impromptu trip to the zoo on a somewhat dreary day yesterday gave Nathan and Mom one on one interactions with all of the animals as the zoo was nearly empty of people.  We had this mama tiger and her three cubs all to ourselves.  Nathan also got a solo ride on the carousel.

First Snowshoeing of the Season

We're a little late this year.  Busy schedules and lack of snow are to blame.  But we did finally get out to snowshoe on MLK Day.

In our trench for a major snowball fight.

Our destination.
